I hope you'll use this letter in the spirit it is intended: I don't want to be pushy or demanding, I just want to give you some idea of the sort of things I like and hopefully spark some inspiration. If it doesn't work for you, remember that optional details are optional. Please feel free to take what works for you, discard the rest, and write something that you have fun with! The best fic is one that the author enjoyed writing.
SHIPPING AND RELATIONSHIPS
All of my requested ships are major OTPs for me; I can't see them with anyone but each other. So if I've requested a ship, please don't get other characters involved!
··Exception: If there's a canon relationship, I am 100% okay with that relationship showing up/being referred to.
My ships, however, do not have to be straightforward romance! For example, I absolutely LOVE one-sided relationships--unrequited pining is my jam. I'll mention specifically if I especially like A→B. I also really like relationships that muddy the waters and toe the line between romantic and platonic. If you agonize about whether to tag it A/B or A&B, that is excellent, I eat that stuff up with a spoon.
You may have noticed that for all of my requested ships, I've also requested the platonic version. I am a BIG fan of gen, and if for whatever reason you don't want to write shipfic, I would be thrilled to receive gen of the same characters. However--at risk of repeating myself--please don't then pair either of them with another character! They don't have to be together, but they can't be with anyone else.
Lastly, I'm not really interested in sexual content. I typically hold to a less-is-more policy. Fade-to-black? That's fine, I guess. Stops at kissing? Great. Nothing but gazing meaningfully at each other from across the room? Hold me, I'm going weak at the knees.
GENERAL LIKES
When it comes to fic, these are a few of my favorite things:

Loyalty, "you are my most important person," codependency, us against the world, self-sacrifice, obsession, "I would do terrible things for you," found families, all of it. Show me just how dedicated to and invested in each other these people are--be the relationship romantic or platonic, healthy or otherwise--and I will be there with bells on.

I generally prefer fics to be more or less canon-compliant; I appreciate fic that depicts something that has happened, or that could happen, in canon. However, I also like the following types of AUs and fusionfics:

··Groundhog Day AUs (a.k.a. time loops)
··The stuff that, for lack of a better term, I'll call "manifestation of love" AUs. Stuff like soulmates, soulmarks, red string of fate, hanahaki, etc. (If you're unsure if something fits into this category, feel free to ask! I like a lot of this stuff, so as long as it doesn't hit any of my DNWs, I'd probably enjoy it.)
However, please note that I highly prefer these to remain--aside from the obvious AU aspect--within the context of the canon universe. For example, if canon is about a high school baseball team, I'm totally on board with characters suddenly having virgin kitty ears, or daemons, or soulmarks... as long as they're still high school students playing baseball.

Midoriya Izuku & Yagi Toshinori | All Might
Of all the relationships in this series, I found myself most charmed by All Might's mentorship of Izuku. I love how they try so hard for each other. I love the belief that All Might has in Izuku, and I love how Izuku's blind hero worship develops into a respect and admiration that's more grounded in reality but is no less deep. I love how All Might is basically placing all his hopes in Izuku, and how Izuku is determined to live up to that. I'm really into the idea of Izuku being All Might's true legacy.
One of the things I really appreciated seeing as time went on was that All Might, despite his many finer qualities, is not the perfect mentor and teacher. Sometimes he screws up, sometimes he doesn't know what to do, sometimes he's trying to protect Izuku, sometimes he's just too afraid or uncertain. I like seeing that side of All Might in his interactions with Izuku--the human side.
Feel free to include other characters (I'm also fond of Todoroki and Tokoyami). However, I'd rather not see Izuku or All Might shipped with anyone in this. Please note that at the moment, I'm anime-only; please avoid manga spoilers!

Words are not sufficient to express how much I love this series. I love the character development. I love how Hikaru, Akira and Sai are each desperately chasing something. I love their three-way rivalry. I love how Sai mentors and guides Hikaru. I love Sai's ending, and the effect it has on Hikaru, and how Hikaru deals with it. I love how Hikaru and Akira's relationship changes and grows over time. I love everything about Akira, from the way he sees Hikaru the way no one else does to the way his hair moves.
I geek out about go being the medium for communication, relationship development, and personal growth. I believe that Sai achieved the Divine Move, not with a slick go move, but by raising up Hikaru. And I, like many people in this fandom, spend too much time pondering one time-honored question: Does Akira ever find out about Sai?
Hunter x Hunter
Gon Freecs & Killua Zoldyck
Gon Freecs/Killua Zoldyck
I confess to having a distinct bias for Killua. He's my absolute favorite; I fell in love with him almost from the moment he first appeared, and I adore him more with each scene he appears him. I love how he's kind of screwed up and I love how desperately he loves Gon (whatever kind of love you want to interpret it as). And I was immediately charmed by how Gon accepts Killua whole-heartedly and basically instantly decides that they're best friends. I love how they'll go to the ends of the earth for each other. I have also developed a near-Pavlovian reaction of flailing and squeeing every time Killua says or thinks, "I will protect Gon!" I am a simple person with simple needs okay
If you want to go for a one-sided ship, I could read Killua→Gon all day long. This is also a fandom where I'm really into between-the-scenes/missing scenes fic (for example, what happened during the 30 days when Gon couldn't use his nen?).
Feel free to include other characters (I'm also fond of Kurapika, Biscuit, Kite and Alluka). Please note that I've seen only the 2011 anime; please avoid manga spoilers!

I find it difficult to specify exactly what I like so much about this series. Does it help to say "everything"?
I love how the four of them form a unit that cannot function if one piece is missing. They bicker and argue and probably actually hate each other sometimes, but they also know each other and accept each other and rely on each other and would do anything for each other. They stick together not just because of the duty they've been charged with, but because they've chosen each other. That kind of boundless loyalty always gets me.
A lot of this extends to the pairs, too--the way they're loyal to each other and defend each other. For Sanzo and Goku, I really like the responsibility Sanzo has taken on with Goku--both with regard to finding and freeing him, and for keeping Seiten Taisei in check. For Hakkai and Gojyo, I like the idea that they've basically given each other a purpose and a home. And, for each pair, I love that they're all basically unstable people who have found someone else to help keep them (mostly) from going off the deep end.
There's a lot of stuff I'd be thrilled to see here. Pre-journey shenanigans, monster-of-the-day battles on their journey west, the return home post-canon, whatever. I would like it if you put these guys through a world of hurt--I love seeing them go to drastic ends to protect or rescue each other, or perhaps even off the deep end. This is a fandom where I can definitely go for one-sided ships. Either ship, in either direction, I'll happily take it all. Or mutual pining, that works too. I'm not too much for these guys getting soppy, though--I don't think any of them would give in to woe-is-me wallowing.
I am okay with references to canon sexual content (although I'd still rather not see explicit detail). Everything related to Kanan is 100% okay to include. While I like both Sanzo/Goku and Gojyo/Hakkai, I'm lukewarm on having both in the same fic.
Please note that I'm still reading the manga and have at the moment only finished the original series and Gaiden. I plan on working my way through Reload in the near future, but just in case I don't get there in time, please avoid spoilers for Reload and beyond! (If I catch up with the manga, I'll edit this, so if that's what you're interested in writing, please check in again later!)

Juudai is quite possibly my favorite shounen protagonist of all time. I love his optimistic, genki, hot-blooded gung-ho attitude at the beginning of the series; I love his descent into darkness; I love the character growth and development he exhibits and how, by the end of the series, he's matured and been jaded and lost some of his blind idealism, but is ultimately still a good person who still believes in goodness.
I also adore Johan, for a lot of the same reasons that I love Juudai. He's positive, bright, brave, determined and true. And I love how he and Juudai are kindred spirits--they hit it off from the first moment they meet, like they were destined to become friends.
Mostly, though, I love that they put themselves on the line for each other. Their faith in each other is unshakeable, and they went through terrible things with each other, and for each other. I'd love to see anything that focuses on that. Or their first reunion post-canon, after Juudai starts roaming the earth.
Feel free to include whatever other characters you'd like. If push comes to shove, I would rather see Yubel acknowledged than ignored. Please note that I watched the anime in the original Japanese, and so I'd like to see fic about Juudai and Johan, not Jaden and Jesse.
